Media Center

Are you up for a challenge? If so, why not help the Waterbury Arts Magnet School community (students, parents, and staff) to reach its goal of reading 100,000 pages by the end of the school year? Read for pleasure - fiction, nonfiction, ebooks, graphic novels, magazines, newspapers, or audiobooks - whatever you enjoy. Simply log the number of pages you have read by completing the Google Form via the QR code available through out the school. You do not need to finish the book in order to log the pages read. Stop by the College & Career and Research regularly for reading inspiration and to check out various displays. Names of participants will be entered into a monthly drawing for a gift card.

The Book Club is an opportunity for students to check out books, read, discuss books, or join a book club. It is held every day after school from 1:50 until 3:00 except early dismissals and the first Wednesday of the month. Permission slips are required and are available from Ms. Betjemann.

The Homework Center is a quiet place for students to do homework in the College & Career and Research Center. It is also an opportunity for students to get help with citations, finding reliable sources and other research-related tasks. The Homework Center is held after school from 1:50 until 3:00 every day except early dismissals and the first Wednesday of the month. Permission slips are required and are available from Ms. Betjemann.
